ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパンの新エリア『スーパー・ニンテンドー・ワールド』の開業日が3月18日（木）に決定した。

『スーパー・ニンテンドー・ワールド』は、任天堂のキャラクターやゲームの世界をユニバーサル・スタジオの革新的なアイデアと世界最新鋭のテクノロジーにより、圧倒的なスケールとクオリティで現実世界に再現した大規模テーマエリア。

当初、2月4日（木）に開業を予定していた『スーパー・ニンテンドー・ワールド』だが、大阪府に緊急事態宣言が発出されたことを受けて開業が延期されていた。

また、『スーパー・ニンテンドー・ワールド』のグランドオープンは、今春で開業20年の節目を迎えるユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパンにとって、記念すべきアニバーサリーイヤーの幕開けとなる。
